Windows Pegasus Mail Setup

Setting Up a New Mailbox

  1. Start Pegasus Mail then click on Addresses, then on User Management
  2. You will then see the Pegasus Mail Users screen.
  3. Click on the Add button.
  4. You will then see the User details screen
  5. For the Username entry, input the userID for the new mailbox
  6. For the Personal name entry, input the name you wish to appear on outgoing mail from the mailbox
  7. Click on the OK button
  8. You will then see the Pegasus Mail Users screen
  9. Click on Close button, then quit and restart the Pegasus Mail program
  10. When Pegasus Mail starts back up, you will see the User name screen.
  11. For the Username entry, input the userID for the new mailbox and click on the OK button
  12. You will then see the Windows 95 Users screen. Read the important notice for Windows 95 users, then click on the OK button
  13. You will then see the Using WINSOCK.DLL? screen. Click on the Yes button
  14. You will then see the Pegasus Mail Options and Preferences Settings screen.
  15. In the Properties box there is another box For receiving mail: For the POP3 host entry, input: postoffice.nvbell.net
  16. In the For receiving mail box: For the User name entry, input the userID name for the new mailbox
  17. In the For receiving mail box: For the Password entry, input the password for the new mailbox
  18. In the For sending mail box: For the SMTP host entry, input: mail.nvbell.net
  19. Click on the OK button
  20. Congratulations! Your Pegasus Mail has been setup with your new mailbox.
