Attention Cayman 3220H Users: READ NOW!

Hackers may attempt to penetrate into the Cayman 3220 H router to obtain information such as PPPoE login and password information as well as viewing your overall router settings. Once hackers have access to this information, they can retrieve/modify your e-mail, use your login information to a create an unauthorized dial-up/dsl connection to access the Internet, or utilize your settings for other illicit purposes, including spamming.

If you or the installing technician did not set an "Admin" password and a User password , please do so now. By creating these passwords, you will add an extra layer of security making it difficult for hackers to penetrate your router and obtain your settings. (Do not use the same password for the "Admin" and "User" levels).

In order for "unwelcome" users to not penetrate your Cayman 3220H settings, you must create BOTH an "Admin" password as well as a "User" Password.

Logging into your Cayman 3220H as an "Admin" allows you to view your current settings and to make any modifications. Logging into your Cayman 3220H as a "User" only allows you to view the Cayman 3220H settings. Modifications cannot be made when logged in as a "User".

If you have already created an "Admin" Password and a "User" password, you are protected and no action needs to be taken. If you have not yet set an an "Admin" password and/or a "User" password, please follow the procedure below.

1. Open a web browser and log into your Cayman by entering "http://192.168.1.254". If you are outside of your network, you can access your Cayman remotely by entering your WAN IP that has been assigned to your Cayman.

2. Click on the "Expert Mode" link.

3. Click on the "Passwords" link.

4. Select the Password Level that you would like to create the PW for ("Admin" or "User"). If you have not yet created an "Admin" level password, the router will not let you create a "User" level password. (Do not use the same password for the "Admin" and "User" levels)

(You do not need to restart your Cayman router when creating or changing a password.)

5. If you just set the "admin" password, you still need to set the "user" level password. Click on the "Passwords" link.

6. Repeat the procedure once again for the "User" password level.
